Tonnara Di Bonagia Hotel is an ancient Sicilian tuna fishery dating back to the 17th century, brought back to its original atmosphere by a careful and expert restoration. The structure is one of the last fishing centres in the world to continue every year in May and June the ancient tradition of the Mattanza a ritual tuna fishing. This tourist complex is located next to a 17th century Saracen Watch Tower, which is where the Tonnara Museum is situated. The Tonnara Museum preserves the songs, the sounds, the equipment, the boats and everything else which today as in the past makes up the ritual tuna fishing.
