Dating back to the early 19th Century, once home to the Barons Montidella Corte (whose family represented the union of two noble lines: The Dove of The Monti and The Lion of The Della Corte), Villa Le Scale is one of the few Caprian Villas of the era still intact. The present owner, a distinguished antiquarian and art collector, has painstakingly restored the villa and due to the quality of the workmanship and the superb interior decoration, inspired by the themes of art and travel, this historical residence retains all it's charm.

From Molo Beverello port in Naples on the mainland take the hydrofoil to Capri's Marina Grande. Take taxi (or follow main road) to Piazzetta Vittoria in Anacapri. Villa Le Scale is situated along the lane which leads to the museum of Villa S Michele.

Room Descriptions

Sea View 2(Standard Room)

Once, the master bedroom, the room still houses a fabulous collection of Neapolitan paintings from the 1700's which form a splendid backdrop to the beautiful fabrics that drape the bed. There is a spacious bathroom with jacuzzi and from the large terrace over the garden there is a sea view.

Sea View(Standard Room)

Rare artifacts and souvenirs brought back from voyages to Asia and South America create an exotic atmosphere in this splendid room. From the large four-poster bed, hung with beautiful light coloured drapes, one can look out towards the spacious terrace with sea view.

Garden Suite(Suite)

The newly renovated garden suite encompasses a large bedroom and separate living room, two walk-in closets, kitchenette, sitting area, two bathrooms with marble plunge pool and prive secluded patio.

Mountain View(Standard Room)

Situated at the very top of the villa, this room is furnished with chinese antiques and coordinating hand-embroidered fabrics. The bathroom and shower are covered in copper infused Venetian glass mosaic tile. This room does not have a terrace.

Studio with Pool View

Contemporary studio complete with oversized marble bathroom with sky-lit plunge pool, kitchenette, walk-in closet, sitting area and secluded patio.

Sea View 3(Standard Room)

The highlight of this impressive room is the 18th Century Venetian bookcase, places at the entrance to the Boudior, which has a large turkish bath crafted in scagliola. An exquisite marble table, just perfect for breakfast to be served upon, enhances the enchanting flower decked terrace with sea view.

Garden View(Standard Room)

An exquisite Louis XVI Boiserie panels an entire wall and inspires the name of this sumptuous room with a large four-poster bed. The bathroom is in Scagliaola and has a plunge pool. The charming terrace looks out over the delicately perfumed garden.

City View(Standard Room)

The delightful Frescos in the artis room, inspired by the era of the fabulous Marchigiana bookcase, are the work of well-known artist Enrica Capone. A splendid bathroom in white marble Mosaic with two antique washbasins dating back to the 18th Century complete the furnishings. There is a window door facing Monte Solaro. No terrace.

Pool View(Standard Room)

Large sky-lit bedroom with fully funtional empire marble bathtub, separate enclosed stone shower, walk-in closet, dressing area, art nouveau sitting area and secluded patio.
